Vietnamese rice now has the highest export prices, distinguishing itself from key competitors, including Thailand and Pakistan, whose prices have fallen.
Viet Nam now exports rice to more than half of the 55 African countries,
and its major importers are the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, and
Angola, as well as Cameroon.
Viet Nam''s rice shipments in January fell by 24 per cent compared with
the same period last year even as export prices of the grain rose by
38.28 per cent.
